SYDNEY HARBOR BRIDGE
BILL FURTHER DELAYED. By Telegfflph.-~Press Assn. —Copyright. Sydney, Oct. 26. After an all-night debate on the North-Shore Bridge Bill in the Assembly, against the wishes of the Government, a motion was passed postponing the Bill till Tuesday next. The Government then stated it washed its hands of further responsibility in connection with the Bill. The concluding stages of the debate were stormy, the Bill being practically the same as introduced by the last Government. The present Government introduced it as a nonparty measure and attempted to end the debate in one sitting. The Labourites and the Country Party resented this, and claim that the adverse vote was not against the Bill but against the Government tactics. Received October 27, 11 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 26. Sir George Fuller has announced that the Governinent will go on with the North Shore Bridge Bill.
