WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph -Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following Government weather forecast was Issued at 4 p.m. to-day: "Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, backing by south to easterlies northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and westerlies to southerlies elsewhere. Weather fair, but clouding over shortly in the North Island, and cloudy to overcast at times with scattered rainfall in the south. The barometer shows little movement, but is falling shortly in northern districts, where worse conditions are now threatening."
