WEDDING.
WILLIAMSON—READ. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Stratford, on Thursday October sth, -the contracting parties being Mr. Herbert Williamson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J Williamsou, of Lepperton, and Miss Emily Violet Read, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Read, of Stratford. The Rev. Mr. Neal performed the ceremony. The bride looked charming in white crepe-de-chine, with the usual veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of white spring flowers and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Divehall, who wore -shell pink crepe-de-chine, and Miss Vera Williamson, sister of the bridegroom, who wore blue silk with short veil and bouquet to match. Mr. A. Read, brother of the bride, -acted a-s best man and Mr. R. Meads as groomsman. The bridegroom’s presents to the -bride and. bridesmaids were gold bangles. The happy couple left by the afternoon train mid showers of confetti, their honeymoon being spent in Wanganui and Wellington. The bride’s travelling costume was of navy blue with hat to watch.
