SEAMEN’S AWARD.
POSSIBILITY OF REJECTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The members of the Seamen’s Union throughout New Zealand are considering the question whether they will agree to work under the award of the Arbitration Court recently made. Meetings of seamen were held to-day at Wellington. Auckland, and Dunedin, and the men at Lyttelton are to meet on Fridav. Mr. W. T. Young, general secretary of the Federated Seamen s Union, left Wellington to-night to attend the Lyttelton meeting.
The meeting of the Wellington men to-dav decided in favour of taking a plebiscite vote of the membership on the question of accepting or rejecting the award. Whatever action is decided upon ultimately will depend upon the result of the voting in other centres.
