Advice has been received by the New Plymouth agents of the Hermes, now at Auck- ’ land, that the vessel may not arrive at thlf port till November 1. The quantity of benzln* to be discharged here is not yet known.
RIMU TO-DAY. The Rimu is due from Onehunga this morning with passengers and general cargo. She crossed the bar at 5.50 p.m. The return north will be made this afternoon at the usual time. KAHIKA ON FRIDAY. The Kahika, which was working at Timaru yesterday, is expected at New Plymouth on Friday with about 600 tons of general cargo From here the vessel proceeds to Nelson. CORINNA’S NEXT TRIP. The Corinna is to leave Dunedin to-day on her next trip north, and is due at New Plymouth with general cargo a week later. JOHN DUE. The John is expected from Lyttelton, Wellington and Wanganui on Friday with general southern cargo. TAINUI NEARING PORT. A wireless message received from the S.S. and A. Co. steamer Talnui states that the vessel .is due to reach Wellington on Sunday next, 29th inst. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. Newcastle, October 24.—Ihumata, from New Zealand. SAILED. Manukau Heads, October 24.—Rimu (5.50 p.m.), for New Plymouth.
