DARING GIRL SWINDLER.

CAPTURE IN VIENNA. London, October 5. All Vienna heaved a sigh of relief at the news of the capture of the notorious Anna Meyer, a fascinating and pretty girl swindler, whose amazing ex. ploits during the last two years (says the London Daily Mail) induced the Government to offer what the Viennese regard as the enormous sum of 2,000,000 crowns for her arrest. The reward was gained by the youthful daughter of the landlady at whose flat Meyer was run to earth. Her real name is Marie Mitringer, and she is the daughter of a railway signalman. Her beauty and accomplishments secured her responsible positions in wealthy families, whom she robbed with amazing audacity. When captured she was living with a little fat, bald-headed Hungarian named Weinsten, who, whip arrested, wept copiously. Meyer gallantly asserted that her paramour was not associated with her robberies. The booty was removed from her flat by the police in motor vans. It represented millions of crowns’ worth of the choicest jewels, some of which were found in match boxes. The police reward for her capture excited the cupidity of hundreds. One woman was so intrigued that she declared that her own daughter was Merer.
