Quotations: Sixty-fours, 5s 3d; sixties, 4s 7d; others, unchanged. LONDON METAL MARKETS. Copper.—Spot, £62 2s 6d; forward, £62 16s 3d. Lead.—£2s and £24 ss. Spelter.—£3s 2s 6d. T i n —£l72 6s 3d and £173 Gs 3d. Silver, 33 15-16 d.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date October 18 : Tallow. —We quote preseht spot values for the following descriptions: mutton, 40s 6d per cwt. ; good beef, 38s 9d per cwt.; mixed, 35s fid per cwt. Market quiet. New Zealand Frozen Meat.—Lamb, 12d per lb. Mutton: Wether and maiden ewe, liglit 7%d per lb., heavy fi 7-8 d per lb.; ewe, light Cd per lb., heavy s*4d per lb. Beef quotations unchanged. Small demand. Last quotations October 11: Ox hinds, 4 7-8 d per lb.; fores, 3 l-8d per lb.; cow hinds, 3%d per lb.; fores, 25-8 d per lb. LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the foliowinlg cablegram from their London house, 'under date October 18: I Wool Sales.—As compared with last sales* closing rates, prices are higher by about 5 per cent, to 7% per cent, for coarse scoured crossbred and coarse crossbred sllpe; prices are higher by about 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, for fine and medium, greasy crossbred, fine and medium crossbred sllpe, and medium scoured crossbred; prices are higher by about 71/2 per cent, to 10 per cent, for coarse greasy crossbred, and about 10 per cent, higher for fine scoured crossbred. America is buying suitable lots of crossbred. November sales will include arrivals up to September 29, 1922. The Tort. Melbourne, Port Plrie, Port. Victor, Port Chalmers. City of Winchester, Carpentaria, Huntingdonshire, Ma-, kalla, Matatua, Ruahine, Rimutaka, Ruapehu, and Tasmania will be available.
