During his absence Constable Hadler, of F’tzroy, is in charge here. Mr. A. V. Cooper is leaving Inglewood, having accepted a position on Newton King Ltd’s land staff at New Plymouth. The committee which has been holding socials in aid of the soldiers’ memorial fund set out with the idea of raising £5O towards that landable object. Mr. W. H. Eagar, who has taken a prominent part in the movement as chairman and treasurer of the social committee, states that the goal is in sight, the sum of £45 Ils fid having been raised. The summer season is now on, and with it comes the summer games, and the need for appropriate attire. This will be at once overcome by a visit to Geo. Farquhar, clothier and mercer, Inglewood, who has a fine showing of garbarine trousers, tennis shirts, cricketing shoes, etc., as well as a wide range of clothing, mercery, boots and shoes. Residents of the Inglewood district who follow the profitable sideline of bee-keep-ing will be able to get all their requisites in Inglewood. F.
