INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The many friends of Mr. W. Collingwood, formerly of Kaimata, will learn with regret that he is seriously indisposed, and has been removed to the New Plymouth Hospital for special treatment. Early news of favorable results will be looked for by his many friends. Inglewood is pleased and proud to learn of the success of an old Inglewood boy, Mr. Pat. O’Carroll, who has lately secured the 1922 golf championship for the Whangarei district, beating his opponent in the final (Mr. Journeau). (» up and 5 to play. Inglewood claims credit for the sterling grounding he got here on the local links. Captain McLaggan and members of the Inglewood Volunteer Fire Brigade acknowledge with thank* a letter from Mr. A. Leech, enclosing a cheque of £5 ss, and expressing his a: .reeiation to the members for the title manner in which they coped with the fire at his premises. The donation goes towards the funds of the brigade. The brigade has also recorded its thanks to Messrs. W. Eagar and A. Leech for providing refreshments on the morning of the fire. There was a fair muster of calves for sale at Newton King, Ltd.’s, Inglewood mart on Saturday. 14th inst., when prices ranged from 9s to 255. Pigs were in good supply, 46 'being sold at from 12s to 16s for weaners and 17s to 20s for small slips. At the same sale hens sold at Is 6d to 4s, tomato plants at Is per bundle, and cabbage plants from 6<l to 9d.
