AX OLD MAN’S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. An old man named David Mole, who was found at his home a week ago with a deep gash in the throat, died fit the Napier hospital this morning. A WOMAN DROWNED. Dunedin, Oct. 14. Ada Berney, a married woman, aged about 35, was found dead face down in the Woodhaugh Stream last night, having apparently fallen 20 feet down a steep bank and striking her her ’ on the rocks. TRAM-CAR FATALITY. Auckland, Oct. 14. Archibald McMath, who was knocked down by a tram-car a week ago, died in hospital this morning. SUSPICION OF POISONING. Auckland, Oct. 14. At the inquest on John Patton Miller, who was found dead in the Domain, the body was identified as that of a watersider, formerly a detective in the police forbe. He was bruised on the body over the heart. A bottle containing a powerful disinfectant was alongside the body. The inquest was adjourned.
