WITH THE ROD.

(By “Ripple.”) Quite a few good fish were creeled during last week-end from the Waiwakaiho and other streams. Conditions were not good, the streams being too full of water, and the wind decidedly conflicting The rivers will doubtless carry a good deal of snow water for a day or two, but are running down nicely and fly-fishing in the evening should account for a few fish. It would be interesting to all anglers if a weekly record of all fish taken in Taranaki waters could be secured. If anglers will kindly send in experiences-, giving number and weight of the trout taken with the name of the stream, and the lure used to “Ripple,” c/o Daily News, these particulars will be published in every Saturday’s issue of this paper.
