WEDDING.
MORRIS—GATENBY. The marriage of Lew'is, fifth son of Mr. Morris, Hawera. and Ethel, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Gatenby,
Tataraimaka, was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on Wednesday. October 11. The Rev. Coleman officiated, and the bride was given away by her father. She looked very charming in a fawn costume with a saxe jersey silk jumper, hat en suite, and carried a lovely bouquet of cream azaleas, blue delphiniums, and maidenhair fern, with tulle streamers. The two bridesmaids, Miss Myrtle Gatenby (the bride’s sister), and Miss Mabel Horgan, the bride’s cousin, were dressed anse m dainty saxe organdie frocks, scalloped with fawn, and hats to match. They carried bouquets, made and presented by Mrs. W. Honey field. The best man was Mr. Roy Morris, brother of the bridegroom. After the ceremony the bride’
parents entertained the guests at a wedding breakfast at the Hygienic tea rooms, when the customary toasts were honored. The newly wedded couple, who were the recipients of many valuable presents, including cheques, left during the afternoon by motor for their future home in Kakaramea. Mrs. Gatenby (the bride’s mother) received her guests wearing a tailored costume with pine stripe and black hat. Mrs. Morris senr. wore a becoming frock of dark green taffeta silk, with multi-colored stripes and chic toque to match. Mrs. Thomas, grandmother of the bride, wore a black gaberdine costume and velvet hat.
