MOUNT COOK HERMITAGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Over eighty visitors from all parts of the Dominion are the guests of the Mt. Cook Motor Company, at the Mt. 1 Cook Hermitage this week-end to marki the formal taking over from the Government by the company of the moi ntain hostel. The visitors were e:;’ • tained to dinner on Saturday night, tie Hon. E. P. Lee (representing the Govern ment) presiding. A SERIOUS CHARGE. Te Kuiti, Oct. 14. At the Magistrate’s Court this morning Will David Anderson, a mail contractor, of Aria, was charged with committing an unnatural offence at Parahika on October 13. On the reading of the charge, which was of a particularly nauseating nature, Sergeant Fearnley applied for a remand until Friday next, which was granted. Bail was refused.
