SPECIAL PRAYERS SUGGESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, October 11. An influentially signed petition . has been sent to Mr. Lloyd. George suggesting that he should confer forthwith the Dominion Prime Ministers and the Secretary for India with a view to advising the King to appeal to citizens throughout the Empire to observe November 11 as the occasion for special prayers ifor the Empire’s peace and prosperity. The signatories include Lord Haig, Admiral Keyes, nine bishops, the heads of all the free churches, many Lord Mayors, Sir James Allen, Sir Charles Lucas.
