The Kahika, with about 400 tons of southern cargo to discharge here, left Wellington at 3.40 p.m. yesterday, and is due here at 8 o’clock this morning. After discharge the vessel will load 5000 crates of cheese for Homeward transhipment to the Paparoa at Wellington, for which port she is to sail late to-day via Nelson. COAL FROM NEWCASTLE. The Iron Chief, coal-laden from Newcastle, is expected at New Plymouth early this morning, when the discharge of her 3000-ton coal cargo for the Railway Department will be commenced. KUROW'S MOVEMENTS. The Kurow, with a cement cargo from Whangarei, is expected at New Plymouth on Tuesday or Wednesday next. RIMU SAILS. The Rimu. which remained in port on Tuesday night, sailed at noon .vesterday with passengers and cargo for Onehunga. She is expected here again to-morrow. ADVICE OF OTAKI. The liner Otaki is reported to have left Panama on September 30, and is due at Auckland on October 26, proceeding later to Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Sydney.
