Some remarkable discoveries concerning the activities of a band of juveniles, apparently organised for the purpose of committing robberies, have been made by the Auckland City police. DetectiveSergeant Issell recently arrested two boys who are alleged to have been the ring-leaders of the party. It is reported that the proceeds of a number of recent burglaries were discovered between two beams in the lift-well of a business establishment in the city. In addition, the police found hidden behind a house in Newton a collection of masks, rubber gloves, cold chisels, airtight tobacco tins fitted with fuses, and some benzine. .Several useless revolvers were also discovered- in this hiding place. Among the other things there was a great deal of sensational literature. According to admissions said to have been made by the boys under arrest, a, cave was to have been dug in the Grafton gully for use as a rendezvous.
