ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FARM LABORER KILLED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gore, Last Night. Frank Norman Wylie, aged 22, single, a farm laborer at Kaiwera, was killed this morning. He fell from a dray, a wheel passing over his back. SEAMAN DROWNED AT WHANGAREI. Whangarei, Last Night. Berrand Knip, aged twenty-four, single, with no known relatives in New Zealand, and a member of the crew of the scow Selwyn, was drowned at the Whangarei Heads. He was taking a kedge anchor shorewards in a dinghy, and, when heaving the anchor overboard, one fluke caught the gunwale and capsized the dinghy. Knip vainly tried to swim to the scow. The body has not been recovered.
