LADIES’ MATCHES. END OF THE SEASON. The ladies of the New Plymouht Golf Club concluded the season’s play at the Waiwakalho links yesterday, when a series of competition matches were held. The weather was fine, but somewhat windy. Results: Medal Match—A Grade. Mrs. Wade 101—28—73 Miss Morton 104—21—83 Miss Bremer 103—19—84 Miss Gavin 95—10—85 Miss Rundle 95 9—86 Medal Match—B Grade. Miss Greig 112—33—79 Miss Winfield 116—29—87 Miss Johns 117 —30—87 Miss Foote 119—26 —93 Putting—A Grade eclectic: Mrs. Johns 16; Mrs. McQuade 17; Mrs. Waters 17. Putting—A Grade gross score: Mrs. Hill 17. Putting—B Grade eclectic : Mrs. Scanlon and Miss Shaw tide with 17, Mrs. Scanlon winning with 18 in the play-off. Putting—B Grade gross score: Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Alleman tied with 18. The play-off has not yet been decided. Driving—A grade: Mrs. Johns, 140 yards; Miss Gavin, 139 yards. Driving—B Grade: Mrs. Perry, 125 yards; Miss Winfield, 122 yards. Approaching competition: A Grade—Mrs. Hill; B. Grade—Mrs. Perry. Mr. Hasell presented a box of golf balls for the winners in yesterday’s competitions, and the thanks of the club are accorded to him. The presentation of the prizes for the year will be made to the successful ladies and gentlemen on Saturday. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. Ham, the Wellington professional, has come to New Plymouth to report on alterations to the New Plymouth Golf Club’s course at Waiwakaiho. If possible, an exhibition game will be arranged with Ham before his return to Wellington.
