At the stadium, Speck Ramies (Californian featherweight) beat Packy MacFarlane after seventeen hard fought rounds, the Australian tiring towards the finish. Received October 8, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, Oct. 8. Stewart beat Charlie Ring for the middleweight championship of Australia on points. The contest was marked by hard slugging throughout, the winner inflicting severe punishment, and he downed Ring several times.
