Of course a few Smiths disgrace the clan—John Smith was one. He asserted before the court that hie was a blameless life, but, alas, “two years later John Smith emerged from his enforced retirement, and in a short period became a very respectable citizen. But once again he was arrested this time for murder. “John Smith” is described as a delightful entertainment with humor, tragedy, pathos and romance. The supporting films are Topieals and Comedy. Blanche Sweet, popular star of many screen plays is in the leading role of “Simple Souls” the starring attraction at Everybody’s this afternoon and tonight. This is the story of a girl who married a man much above her station in life and the subsequent trials that befel her as the of marrying out of her class. The story of this girl, however, is brought to a happy conclusion after many adventures, pleasant and otherwise. COMING MONDAY. “KAZAN” THE WOLF DOG. One of the most remarkable photoplays of to-day “Kazan.” the James Oliver Curwood’s thrilling narrative will be the attraction at the Everybody’s on Monday. It is a First National production with Jane Novak in the leading role, supported by Ben Deeley and Edwin Wallock. it is a gripping tale of a great malemute dog, “Kazan,” who becomes a killer following the murder of his master. He is the enemy of all mankind, until a beautiful girl befriends him, and sets him free from his brutal surroundings. The thousands who have thrilled at the tense moments of the hook will live them over when illustrated on the screen. “Kazan ’ is showing at usual prices. KAPONGA PICTURES. “HUMORESQUE.” “Humoresque,” the paramount royally masterpiece showing to-night (Saturday) has been pronounced by all who have viewed it —critics and general public — as one of the superb screen creations for all time. The producers declare it to be their crowning achievement and by two million votes it was awarded the gold medal for the finest production on 1921, Mother love is the theme of this splendid picture.
