THE STOCK MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Prices at Westfield to-day were: Beef. —Average yarding and last week’s rates fully maintained. Extra choice ox, 25s per 100 lb; choice and prime, 21s to 245; good, 18s to 20s; other, 14s to 18s; choice young cow and heifer beef, 18s to 21s; other 12s to 16s. Sheep.—Medium yarding and prices about the same; best woolly wethers 30s to 335, medium 27s to 30s, others 23s to 275; best shorn wethers, 28s to 31s, medium 25s to 28s, others 22s to 245; ewes 18s to 235. Calves. —Average yarding and late rates; runners £2 10s to £4, heavy vealers £2 to £2 15s, medium vealers £1 10s to £2, fresh-dropped 4s to 10s. Pigs.—Large yarding and late rates; choppers £2 to £2 17s 6d; baconers £2 15s to £3 ss; porkers £2 5s to £2 10s; weaners 8s to 18s. Lambs. —Medium yarding; 14s to 295. DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. The National Dairy Association advises having received the following cablegram from their London dffice under date of September 30: “Butter. —Market steady. New Zealand salted 216 s to 218 s, unsalted 226 s to 2285; Danish, 2245; Australian, 204 s to 2065. “Cheese.—White, 94s to 965; colored, 92s to 945; good demand, market firm. “Casein.—Fair demand. Lactic, £65 per ton; rennet, £7O per tor”
