IN MEMORIAM.
STRACK.—In loving remembrance of Lieutenant Karl Justus Strack, 10/2822. killed in action at Passchendaele on October 4, 1917; aged 23 years. Sleep on, pure youth, sleep at earth’s soothing breast, No King’s sarcophagus was e’er so fine, As that poor shallow soldier grave of thine, Where all ungarlanded thou tak’st thy rest. In Flanders fields the popples grow. Between, the crosses, row on row. —lnserted by his loving parents, brothers and sisters, and Miss Lily Hulbert, Motueka.
