GISBORNE SEAT. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Gisborne, Sept. 30. Mr. Geo. Smith, who was to have been nominated in the Reform interest for the Gisborne seat, has announced his withdrawal. A WOMAN CANDIDATE. Wellington. Sept. 30. Mr«. A. McVicar, member'of the City Council, has been invited by the ladies of Wellington East to contest that seat, and has consented.
