TROUBLE IN AUSTRIA.
PEASANTS MALTREAT BOURGEOIS. EX-MINISTERS ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 2, 12.30 a.m. Vienna, Sept. 30. Details of the conflict between tne peasants party controlling the Government and the united bourgeois parties, show that both arranged to hold congresses at Tirmovo simultaneously, to which the rival leaders journeyed by the same train from Sofia. The peasants at Dubnik held up the train at 4 o'clock in the morning and removed and illtreated the supporters of the bourgeois parties, including several half-dressed ex-Ministers. The peasants cut their beards and threatened to hang them. Similar scenes were witnessed at other stations, the ex-Ministers being finally arrested at Tirmovo, but were subsequently released. The peasants’ congress resolved tnat a plebiscite of electors should be taken to determine the guilt of the ex'-Minis-ters regarding the war, and if over 50 per cent, of the electors vote them guilty, they should be exiled for a decade; if over 60 per cent, they should be sentenced from 10 to 15 years’ imprisonment; and if over 75 per cent, they should be executed.
