TOURING TEAMS’ MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington West Coast Rugby touring team defeated the southern touring team in the final match of the‘season by 31 points to 12. The former team displayed the best combination, the forwards being very keen. At half-time the score was 21 points to 3. Tries were secured by Wlylie (2), Gibson, McRae, McCabe and Connop, Murphy converting five and kicking a penaltyj> goal. For the southern team, Gibson, Mahoney and Thomas secured tries, and the former kicked a penalty goal. LEAGUE GAME AT HAMILTON. Hamilton, Last Night. In League football, Auckland met South Auckland, yesterday, in ideal weather. There was an attendance of 3000, keen interest being evinced, owing to the local team having previously beaten Auckland bj’ one point for the Northern Union Challenge Cup. A fast and exciting game resulted, the score at half-time being: South Auckland 15, Auckland 5. The final score was: South Auckland 28, Auckland 16. The backs on each side were fairly even. Auckland had the honors in scrum heeling, but the home team were superior in other departments. CADETS AT PLAY. HAWERA BEAT NEIV PLYMOUTH. Cadet teams from Hajvera and New Plymouth met at Stratford on Saturday, when, after a hard and closely-contested game, the Hawera boys won by 17 points to 6.
