The Rimu, with passengers and general cargo, crossed the Manukau Bar yesterday at 5.20 p.io)., and is due in port about 7 o’clock this morning, returning north at 4.20 this afterTIMBER FOR HARBOR BOARD. The 30,000 feet of timber being brought from Greymouth by the Progress is for the New Plymouth Harbor Board. The vessel is due here to-morrow morning, having left Greymouth at 4 p.m. yesterday. KAHIKA TO-DAY. The Kahika was expected to leave Picton for New Plymouth last night, and! is due here about midday with general cargo. She is scheduled to sail for Nelson on Monday. JOHN WITH CARGO. The John arrived yesterday morning from Lyttelton, via Wellington and Wanganui, with about 250 tons of general cargo, and after dischrage returned south at 2.15 p.m. She loads in the south next week and will be here on Saturday. WAIHEMO LOADING. The Waihemo, which arrived at Vancouver last Sunday from Lyttelton, will be leaving San Francisco early in October for New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth. Later on in October the company’s steamer Wa.iotapu will also be loading at San Francisco for New Zealand and Australian ports. Both vessels will land their cargoes in ample time for Christmas. A MISSING BARQUE. Private advice has been received from Callao that the barque Garthneil in May, 22 miles south of Sunday Island, passed an overturned hull, presumed to be that of the Manurewa.
