Enthusiasm, with a stone more In the saddle, carried on the good work and won the President’s Handicap in a canter: Bonnie Heather, who was unlucky on Saturday, running info second nlace, and Eerie again ran well forward. Miss Rene backed up ail the good things the writer said of her by winning the' Electric Hack Handicap from end to end, and Passionless—third the first day—just pulled the public through in the Railway Handicap. The dividend of the day (and of the meeting)' was returned by Miss G. Barrett’s Kyoto, who ran a simart mile when he defeated the consistent, but unlucky, Santiago in the Rahui Welter. The handful of backers of the Maniapoto gelding handled a dividend in. the vicinity of a third of a century. The including event was a soft snap for Cold Steel, who nevertheless paid a nice dividend. Double winners at the meeting were Mattock, Enthusiasm and Miss Rene. Mark Time, who was kicked by Yankee Dan on Saturday, was a trifle sore on Monday, and Mr. .T. B. Gaisford did not elect to start him again.
