REBELS BREAK PRISON. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 25. It is reported that 39 Irregular prisoners escaped from the County Gaol, Cork, by tunneling to a disused ventilator shaft, whence they reached a manhole in the road outside. Only two were recaptured. A Dublin official message states that rebels ambushed General O’Duffy, who was motoring at Naas accompanied by other high officials. The attackers opened heavy revolver fire and then retreated. General O’Duffy and hie party were unhurt.
