A. AND P. ASSOCIATIONS.
RAILWAY FACILITIES A meeting of representatives of the Stratford. Taranaki and Egmont A. and P. .Associations was held at Stratford on Saturday for the purpose of discussing improvements in the railway facilities for the shows of the three associations. There were present: Messrs. W. Grant and H. C. Sampson (Taranaki), H. Middleton and E. A. Washer (Egmont), G. Sangster, C. Marchant and F. Ranford (Stratford). Apologies for absence weje received from Messrs. W. Hall (Taranaki) and L. T. Aylward Mr. Grant was voted to the chair. The secretary of the Stratford Associltion was instructed to write to the Manawatu Association asking if anything is being done with regard to the meeting of A. and P. delegates which it is proposed to hold at Palmerston North during the show week. The secretary was also instructed to write to the Railway Department asking that persons in charge of show stock be allowed to travel at excursion rates to and from the shows A resolution to this effect was forwarded by the New Plymouth Jersey Club and was endorsed. It was resolved to forward a request to the department that the 12.40 p.m. train from New Plymouth stop at all stations where requested to pick up.passengers for the Stratford and Hawera shows. • It was decided that when entries are secured for any of the three shows exhibitors be requested to consign stock to the secretaries of the associations. The question of charges for space was discussed, and the committees of the three associations were recommended to adopt a uniform scale as brought down by the Egmont Association. Other matter of common interest were discussed with a veiw to bringing the working of the three associations more into line.
