Ltd., have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. R. and W. Davidson, Ltd. i—"Butter slightly firmer. 216 s to 218 s: cheese again slightly finmer, colored 90s to 925, white 94s to 965.” Messrs. Collett and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable report from their British principals: "Creamery butter 214 s to 2165; white cheese 94s to 965; colored cheese, 88s to 905.” WSIEAT POOL SALES. Melbourne, Sept. 23. The chairman of the Wheat-growers’ Corporation stated that total sales to date of wheat in the pool were 29,793.000 bushels at 5s 4%d. The board earned £65.000 from the Chartering Commission. The net return to growers is 4s 4d per bushel. LATEST MEAT PRICES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., hare received the following cablegram from their London house under date 20th instant:— Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 41s per cwt.; good beef. 38s 6d ner cwt.; mixed 34s per cwt. Fairly good demand. New Zealand Frozen Meat.—Lamb, ll%d per lb. Mutton: Wether and unaiden ewe, light 7%d per lb., heavy 6Ud per lb.; ewe. light 5 7-8 d per lb., heavy 5 3-8 d per lb. Market slow. Beef: Ox hinds 4 7-8 d per lb., fores 3%d per lb.; cow hinds 3%d per lb., fores 2%d per lb.
