IN NATURAL COLORS.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE “MOVIES.” By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. New York, Sept. 21. A syndicate of 45 prominent American business men has subscribed a million dollars for the exploitation of a process of coloring moving p'.ctures in their natural tints, invented by Daniel Comstock, who is connected with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. One picture of five reels already completed was shown privately and was higlily praised. It is a vast improvement over prismal coloring. The new invention requires a special camera which produces a negative in appearance similar to the old negatives, but following immersion in special chemical baths it shows complete coloring as in nature. The invention is expected to revolutionise cinematography. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
