NEW LINKS PROJECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 20, 7.50 p.m. London, Sept. 19. The Pacific Cable Board, having decided to lay a cable from Brisbane to Sydney to overcowie land line difficulties. is awaiKng the Commonwealth’s approval of the proposition. The board intends shortly to lay a cable 'between Fiji and New Zealand, as thermal action affects the Norfolk Island bifurcations. It also contemplates extending +he Fiji line to Samoa later.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
