THE SPRING SHOW. L’ .(From Our Own Correspondent.) September 20. The Eltham Horticultural Society held its spring flower show to-day, and it proved an unaqualified success. The entries in all sections exceeded all expectations. Mr. Robt. Gibson placed an exquisite array of bulbs on exhibition, his exhibit of apricot Phoenix, Royalty, Ingalscomb Phoenix and croesus bulbs being particularly fine. Messrs. W. Moss (Ngaere) and Duncan and Davies (New Plymouth) also had splendid exhibits of flowers and seedlings. The Mayor (Mr. G. W. Tayler) officially opened the show, and complimented the committee on the excellent results obtained. Following is the prize list: POT PLANTS. Asparagus.—Mrs. P. Franks 1, Mr. T. H. Fever 2.
