NIGHT BAKING QUESTION. MINERS SUBMIT NEW CLAIMS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Sydney. Sept. 16. Mr. Oakes is drafting a Bread Bill by which the night baking question will be left to the discretion of the court instead of Parliament. The Coal Miners’ Federation has served fresh claims on the employers, including one that when miners fail to make twenty-five shillings per shift at contract rates they shall be paid not less than that amount, and no deduction for dirt explosives be allowed. The federation demands a conference on the claims.
