A London cable reports the death of Mr. Wilfred S,cawen Blunt, aged 82. Mr. Blunt was in the diplomatic service from 1858-1870. He later travelled in the East and took up the Egyptian National cause in 1881-B'2. He stood for Parliament first as a Tory Home Ruler and later as a Liberal Home Ruler, but without success. He was arrested in Ireland in 1887 for calling a meeting in a proclaimed district and was two months in gaol.
