THEFT AT PRAYERS.
LADY LOSES HER PURSE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Police Court, Eric Robert Burnett, a steward on the Athenic, pleaded guilty to the theft of a purse containing £3O from a lady’s bag at a prayer-meeting. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
