WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.- _ '-pss Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following Government weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day: “Present indications are for westerly .winds strong to gale, backing to southerlies northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and south-easterlies prevailing shortly elsewhere. Cloudy, unsettled and colder weather, with further rally may be expected generally; heavy rain about Cook Strait and snow on the higher levels in the south. The barometer is falling, but will rise everywhere soon."
