RIFLE SHOOTING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The third competition for aimmunition prizes by members of the New Plymouth Rifle Club took place on Saturday afternoon. The light was perfect; there was a fairly strong right wind at the first distance, but it died down at the longer ranges, and some of the shooting reached a very high standard. There were two possibles at the 500 yards distance. Scores:—
•Denotes range prize. The competition will be continued next Saturday. The annual meeting of the club will be held to-morrow night.
