Mr. George Syme, senior, one of the foundation members of the Hawera Bowling Club, has donated to/his club a challenge sh 'ld for inter-club competition between the Hawera, Park, Manaia, and Pate« Clubs, the conditions being that the competition shall bte held on the Hawera Club's green during the New Year holidays, four rinks from each club.
