EVERYBODY’S. CHARLIE RAY IN “A MIDNIGHT BELT/’ A play with many thrilling situations and original twists is the “Midnight Bell,” with Charles Ray, at Everybody’s Theatre to-night. In this picture, which is taken from the original play, the star plays the role of Martin Tripp, a travelling sales man, who finds himself working in a store in a small country town. There he meets with many unexpected adventures, and is the means ot, running to earth a notorious band of crooks whose rendezvous is in a haunted church. Incidentally, he falls in love with and wins a charming damsel of the village. The supports include a comedy and gazette and a topical gazette, and also the popular “community sing,” led by Mr. Abel Rowe. This proved a most popular item last night, and will no doubt draw again this evening a big crowd who are not regular picture-goers. The man- . -ement also .announce that every lady patron to-night will be presented with a bottle of Colgate and. Co.’s perfume. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF "HEADIN’ WEST.” Laughs are the order for those who witness “Headin’ West,” the Universal photoQf the New West, which screens finally to.-night at The People’s. Hoot Gibson is the star and enters the story from the to* -via airplane and parachute. His filii fidyenture is trying to ride a bucking bronco on which a saddle has been strapped oyer a thorn with great care. From then on the split is fifty-fifty between humor and thrills, and enables Hoot to prove to his audience that he can ride, scrap and entertain with Tom Mix, Buck Jones, or any of “them Western blokes.” Episode 12 pt “Thunderbolt Jack” is on this programjjie, and children will be admitted for 6d to-night. The management annoynce that; every lady patron this evening wifi le presented with a bottle of Colgate’s perfume.
