SCHEME FOR AUSTRALIA.
RADIO CONCERT SERVICE. NEWS FOR ISOLATED PLACES. JBy Telegraph.— Press Association. Received Sept. 7, 11.30 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 7. At a genera] meeting of the Amalgamated Wireless Company, the chairman said that in addition to commercial wireless the company was also arranging to establish what would be known .in Australia as a radio concert service, in such a manner that residents and settlers in all parts of Australia would be able to receive daily in their own homes vocal and instrumental mueic and other entertainments. This would be done in conjunction with the Government. The company also hoped to make arrangements with the principal newspapers by which their news services would be made available to those people situated in districts where daily papers are not available. —Aus.-N.Z.
