DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORTS.
BIG INCREASE OF BUTTER.. The figures for the dairy division, Department of Agriculture, show that the butter graded for export during August was as under: — August, 1922, salted, 40.398 cwt; unsalted, 64Sewt: total. 41,046 cwt. August, 1921, salted and unsalted, totalled 18,115 cwt. Increase, 126.58. per cent. Cheese Graded. August, 1922, white 103 cwt, colored 265 cwt; total, 368 cwt. August, 1921, totalled 1616 cwt. Decrease 77.28 per cent. Converting these figures into butterfat equivalent there is an increase of 118.52 per cent, in butter-fat production for the month of August as compared. with the corresponding period for 1921.
