WEATHER FORECAST.
By 1 Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following Government weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day: “Present indications are for variable winds, moderate to strong north-easterlies ruling northwards of New Plymouth and Napier and westerlies elsewhere. Rain is probable on the west coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, but fair weather elsewhere, which is likely to give place shortly to cloudy conditions, with scattered rain. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency.*’
