Bass song.—A. Macdonald (New Plymouth ). Girls’ song, under 16.—Lilian Hutchings (Wellington). Male quartette. —New Plymouth. Male Choir.—Palmerston North 1, New Plymouth 2. The only entrants. Test recital, men.—Barton Ginger 1, E. C. Smythe 2. both of Wellington. A private telegram state* that the Melody Four (Messrs. Hooker, Okey, E(ellringer and Macdonald) won the first prize for quartette with 92 points. The Male Choir was beaten for first prize by one point.
