Following the re-affirmation of the Pope’s temporal power by the Eucharistic Conference at Catania, armed Fascist! entered the Cathedral, roughly handled the priests and turned out the worshippers. GERMAN SOCIALISTS. Berlin, Sept. 5. The Parliamentary committees of the Majority and Independent Socialists agreed to submit a proposal for amalgamation to the joint conference on September 24. The Essen miners rejected a proposal to increase working hours on the ground the men were underfed and physically unfit. JAPANESE LEAVING SIBERIA. Tokio, Sept. 5. The Japanese have begun the evacuation of Siberia. The first transport to load troops has sailed. ALLEGED PLOTTERS ARRESTED. .Bucharest, Sept. 5. It is reported that a plot nas been discovered to assassinate the Royal family during the coronation celebrations.. Several Hungarian officers have been arrested. It is alleged that they confessed to being in possession of explosives to blow up the Royal stand during the horse races in connection with the event. NEW RUSSIAN BANK. Copenhagen, Sept. 5. The Berlingske Tidende states that a Russian private bank will be created in the near future with the support of a foreign consortium in which financial houses of Sweden, Denmark and the United States will participate. Herr Stinnes and Krupps have promised support.
