ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FATAL GUN ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin. Sept. 5. At the inquest concerning the death of Thomas Hawke Barrett, at Balclutha. aged 22, who was found in the scrub with a rifle bullet in his head, the verdict was that death was due to the accidental discharge of his rifle. Constable Weir stated the position of the body, and the gun indicated that deceased was shot through the trigger catching a twig.
