ANOTHER CHANNEL SWIMMER. i London. Sept. 4. Morris expects to begin the Channel swim from Dover on Tuesday morning. WOMAN CHARGED WITH FRAUD. London, Sept. 4. Mrs. Rita Marguerite Fiske, an Australian who was prominently associated with the entertainment of wounded Anzacs during the war, was charged at Mansion House with having fraudulently converted to her own use £137. The case was adjourned for a fortnight. Defendant’s counsel said the charge was the result of a criminal conspiracy. WEDDING GUESTS POISONED. London, Sept. 4. Thirty-five out of 80 guests at a wedding breakfast at Wallasey, including the officiating minister, were poisoned, presumably through the food. So fa l ? no cases have been fatal.
