NOT TO EXCEED FOUR MILLION. ; MONEY FOR PUBLIC WORKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The, Public Works Loan Bill was introduced. in the House to-night. Explaining the Bill, Mr. Massey said he hoped no one would get the impression that the Government intended to go upon the London market at once, because they had no such intention. The amount of the loan would not be more than £4,000,000 and was for the purposes of ordinary public works, etc. It was uncertain when the loan would have to be raised. He would like twelve months to elapse between the raising of this loan and the last one, but it was possible it might be necessary to raise this loan before March 3L
