A HUNDRED ’QUAKES.
SUNDAY AT TOKAANU. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 4. The postmaster at Tokaanu reports that between 12.15 and 3.30 a.m. on Sunday over 100 earthquakes were felt in Tokaanu. There was also a severe shake at 5.30 a.m. Throughout the day the number felt was 40. Last night the position eased somewhat and only five took place. The residents are not at all perturbed.
