Brisbane, Sept. 2. Sleeman and Connolly, accused of attempted bribery, have been committed for trial at the next sitting of the criminal court. DANGERS OF ECLIPSE. Sydney, Sept. 2. The Government astronomer warns the public not to observe the coining eclipse without adequate protection for the eyes. He urges school teachers to be especially careful to supervise pupils during the eclipse period.
